It offers excellent flexibility and durability. The tinned copper conductors are meant to resist corrosion which adds to the longevity of the wire. 

What type of insulation is used? Well, when the copper is tinned, the next step is to insulate it with a flexible yet durable PVC jacket. This insulation protects the wire and makes it resistant to a variety of hazards. These hazards include; alkali, abrasion, acid, gas, oil, flame, and moisture.
