NavPod AngleGuards are designed to upgrade sailboat steering systems to accommodate mounting of electronics onto NavPods.
Edson is a popular manufacturer of steering systems who has always used a 9.5" wide pedestal guard. Most of their pedestal guards are 1" in diameter. Lewmar (formally Whitlock) also has manufactured steering systems that use the 9.5" wide format. NavPod supplies the SG10 and AG10 as a easy retrofit onto either of these systems.
Because of the clean and secure method of concealing wires and the need to accommodate large connectors and heavy radar cables within the Stainless Steel tubes, NavPod recommends the larger 1.25" diameter AngleGuards. Often the existing Top Plate needs to be bored out or replaced with the TP125 to accommodate the larger diameter. NavPod supplies Polished Stainless Steel feet with all 1.25" AngleGuards.This product may not be returned to the original point of purchase. Where Have You Been All My Boating Life?
What a great little piece of tech - I don't know how we got by without it in the past. No more guessing how full the holding tank is or having to clean icky tank senders. This little bluetooth RADAR sending unit mounts on top of the tank and connects wirelessly to our Victron Cerbo.
Setup is super easy, push the button on the unit so it can calibrate to the tank then enable bluetooth and set up your rank dimensions on your Cerbo. It's as easy as that.
We've had it installed and running for about two weeks now and couldn't be more pleased (We like it enough that I ordered a second one for our water tank.)
Lots of wiring - no leaks! Be sure to run ALL the wires through BEFORE completing the run!

"Currently" super happy.
Installed on Yanmar 4JH57 engines with Zeus Controllers - HOLY WOW power. Losing some power at top end but overall very satisfied. Will do a long term review later. Talk about power - hope to never need my generator again!
