Labor: Shock absorber labor

35' of 5mm shock cord, coiled into a 14" loop. Ends tied in square knot with overhand knots in tails. Pulled tight.
Rigging tape wrap the two loaded "ends" of the loop - a 2" wide band.
Use 2x 5' pieces of 2.5mm ocean to create a short (4") "lashing" loop on the taped ends of the shock cord.
Splice a 6' piece of 8mm ocean with a 4" eye in each end - eye to eye = 34"
Ask Canvas shop for 36" long 4" wide "tube" of sunbrella.
Use 2x 3/8" D Shackles to connect lashed 2.5mm loops and spliced 8mm eyes.

8mm ocean is safety/stopper.
Cover entire assembly except shackles with canvas tube and stitch ends so it can't slide off.
