BA-130 Break Away Mount
The CMC BA-130 Breakaway Unit is designed for boaters navigating shallow, debris-heavy waters, allowing for safe passage over obstacles. It minimizes damage to both the boat and motor while providing up to 45 degrees of movement.
The BA-130 is rated for outboard motors up to a maximum of 130 H.P. The unit is mounted between the boat transom and the outboard motor. It is designed to help minimize damage to the outboard motor and boat transom only when an obstruction is encountered while running at speeds under 5 M.P.H. in the forward direction. As it encounters an obstruction, momentum causes the motor to deflect and rotate up to 45 degrees to slide over the obstruction. A drawbar spring is incorporated in the unit to help return the motor to its normal position. The drawbar spring also holds the motor at the normal position while operating in the reverse direction at low R.P.M. The BA-130 is not designed to encounter obstructions while the boat is being operated in the reverse direction.
The unit is pre-drilled with the standard B.I.A. hole pattern. For motors that have clamps with thumb screws, CMC part #13022 Transom Clamp Adapter is required. Product weight is 28 pounds (shipping weight is 33 pounds) and carries a limited 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship.

Where Have You Been All My Boating Life?
What a great little piece of tech - I don't know how we got by without it in the past. No more guessing how full the holding tank is or having to clean icky tank senders. This little bluetooth RADAR sending unit mounts on top of the tank and connects wirelessly to our Victron Cerbo.
Setup is super easy, push the button on the unit so it can calibrate to the tank then enable bluetooth and set up your rank dimensions on your Cerbo. It's as easy as that.
We've had it installed and running for about two weeks now and couldn't be more pleased (We like it enough that I ordered a second one for our water tank.)
